The Alabaster Cylinder Chandelier is a circular brass frame set with upright cylinders of Spanish alabaster, each 16 cm (6.3″) tall. It comes in four diameters, 50 cm (19.7″), 60 cm (23.6″), 80 cm (31.5″) and 100 cm (39.4″), measures 43 cm (16.9″) high at its shortest, and hangs on a 40 cm (15.7″) wrapped brass chain. It suits a dining table, a living room, an entrance hall or an open-plan space.
The alabaster
Each cylinder is cut and polished individually from Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudiness and translucency change from one to the next. Unlit, the stone is quiet and soft; lit, light passes through the walls and the veining comes forward. No two chandeliers are the same.
The frame
The cylinders stand in a ring of brass. The rod and chain are wrapped in brass, a small handmade detail that carries the warmth of the metal up to the ceiling.
Why warm light matters
Alabaster takes on the colour of the light inside it. At 2700K it glows a warm ivory and the veining shows clearly; cooler light turns it grey and chalky. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.
Sizing and placement
The 50 cm (19.7″) suits a round table of about 90 to 120 cm (35 to 47″) or a small room. The 60 cm (23.6″) suits a table of about 110 to 140 cm (43 to 55″) or a room of around 3 × 3.5 m (10 × 11.5 ft). The 80 cm (31.5″) suits a table of about 140 to 180 cm (55 to 71″) or a room of around 4 × 4.5 m (13 × 15 ft). The 100 cm (39.4″) suits a table of 180 cm (71″) and above, a large living room or an entrance hall. Over a table, hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.
Suspension
The chandelier comes with 40 cm (15.7″) of wrapped brass chain. At its shortest the fixture is 43 cm (16.9″) high, so it can sit close under a lower ceiling; for higher ceilings the chain is made longer to order.
The light
The light passes through the stone, so the chandelier gives a soft, even, ambient glow with the rhythm of the cylinders around the ring. Over a kitchen island or a desk, keep task lighting alongside it.
Lamping and installation
G4 LED lamps, warm white at 2700K. Approximate weights: 14 to 18 kg (31 to 40 lb) for the 50 cm, 18 to 22 kg (40 to 49 lb) for the 60 cm, 25 to 32 kg (55 to 71 lb) for the 80 cm and 34 to 42 kg (75 to 93 lb) for the 100 cm. The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking.
Care
Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust the alabaster with a soft dry cloth only. Keep water and all cleaners off the stone: alabaster is soft and porous and marks easily. Dust the brass with a soft dry cloth, without polish.
Made to order
Every chandelier is made to order, and the alabaster is cut for each piece. The chain length is set to your ceiling, and dimming is available on request.

We wire every lamp in our workshop for the country it is delivered to. Voltage, plug and electrical standard are set from your delivery address, so there is nothing to choose at checkout. Pieces shipped to the US are fitted with UL-listed drivers and LED components.
The colour temperature is listed in the specifications. A dimmable version, or a warmer or cooler light, can be made at no extra cost: write it in the note at checkout.
Every piece is assembled, wired and switched on at our workshop bench before it is packed. We check the electrics, the fixings and the finish, and nothing is crated until it passes.
Ask us, and we send you a video of your own lamp, lit and working, before it leaves the workshop. It is free.
An installation manual is packed with every lamp. Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician.
For ceiling lights, a standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb). Check the weight in the specifications: heavier pieces need a fan-rated box or a mounting plate fixed to a joist.
If a piece arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email contact@casalolalights.com with your order number and photos. We cover the return shipping and send a free replacement or a full refund, with no restocking fee.
If a parcel is lost, we replace it free or refund it in full. An order not delivered within 90 days of dispatch is refunded automatically.
Every piece carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the day it is delivered.
Standard catalogue pieces, including pieces made after you order, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee and return shipping apply.
Choosing a finish, size, dimming option, colour temperature, cable length or plug does not affect your right to return. Bespoke commissions (a non-catalogue size, a structural change or a specially commissioned material, agreed before payment) and items marked final sale cannot be returned for change of mind.
Cancelling
Free within 48 hours of ordering. After that, a charge of up to 20% may apply for materials and work already committed to your piece.
EU and UK customers
Your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies, with no restocking fee.

Yes, both ways, at no extra cost. The drop can be shortened for a lower ceiling, or extended in 50 cm (20 in) sections for a higher one, and we set the finished height to your room. For double-height rooms and stairwells, drops beyond 3 m (10 ft) are quoted with a drawing for you to approve before production. Yes. Size, proportions and metal finish can be adapted on most models, and we send you a drawing to approve before production. Changes to wiring, dimming or colour temperature keep the piece returnable; changes to its outer form are made for you alone and cannot be returned. The form, size and finish will match. The stone will not be identical, because every piece of alabaster has its own veining and clouding. If you prefer a calmer or a richer stone, say so in the note at checkout and we select it for you. Before your lamp ships we film it lit, so you see your own stone before it leaves the workshop. On arrival, unpack and test-light it before installation, and send photos of any transit damage before it is fitted.
Yes, at no extra cost. The standard version is not dimmable; write #dim in the note at checkout and we fit a dimmable driver. Tell us the dimmer or smart-home system you use and we match the driver to it. The light is 2700K Warm White as standard; a warmer or cooler colour temperature can be made on request, also at no extra cost. Through alabaster, warm white gives the softest glow.
