The Metal Ribbon Ceiling Light is a sculpture of overlapping iron ribbons, curved and layered around acrylic diffusers that soften the light. It comes in two diameters, 60 cm (23.6″) and 80 cm (31.5″), in a gold or grey finish, and hangs on a 50 cm (19.7″) chain. Its broad, low shape suits a dining table, a kitchen island, a reception area or an entrance hall.
The iron
The ribbons are bands of iron, shaped into curves and set one over another so light and shadow shift across them as you move through the room. The gold finish brings out the movement of each band; the grey is quieter and more architectural. Inside, acrylic diffusers spread the light so the lamps are not seen directly.
Why warm light matters
A metallic finish reflects the colour of the light around it. At 2700K the gold glows warm and the grey takes on a soft pewter tone; cooler light makes both look cold and hard. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.
Sizing and placement
The 60 cm (23.6″) suits a round or square table of about 90 to 120 cm (35 to 47″), a short kitchen island, or a room of around 3 × 3.5 m (10 × 11.5 ft). The 80 cm (31.5″) suits a table of about 120 to 160 cm (47 to 63″) or a room of around 4 × 4.5 m (13 × 15 ft). Over a table, hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface. Because the piece is broad and low, it keeps sightlines open across the room.
Suspension
The light hangs on a 50 cm (19.7″) chain as standard. The chain is made longer or shorter to order for your ceiling height.
The light
The acrylic diffusers turn the lamps into a warm, even glow that spills out between the ribbons and throws soft shadows onto the ceiling. It is an ambient light rather than a focused downlight; over a kitchen island, keep task lighting alongside it.
Lamping and installation
Warm white light at 2700K. The fixture is hardwired and should be installed by an electrician.
Care
Switch off and let it cool. Dust the iron with a dry microfibre cloth. Clean the acrylic diffusers with a lightly damp cloth, without solvent-based cleaners.

Every piece is made to order. The chain length is set to your ceiling, and dimming is available on request.

We wire every lamp in our workshop for the country it is delivered to. Voltage, plug and electrical standard are set from your delivery address, so there is nothing to choose at checkout. Pieces shipped to the US are fitted with UL-listed drivers and LED components.
The colour temperature is listed in the specifications. A dimmable version, or a warmer or cooler light, can be made at no extra cost: write it in the note at checkout.
Every piece is assembled, wired and switched on at our workshop bench before it is packed. We check the electrics, the fixings and the finish, and nothing is crated until it passes.
Ask us, and we send you a video of your own lamp, lit and working, before it leaves the workshop. It is free.
An installation manual is packed with every lamp. Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician.
For ceiling lights, a standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb). Check the weight in the specifications: heavier pieces need a fan-rated box or a mounting plate fixed to a joist.
If a piece arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email contact@casalolalights.com with your order number and photos. We cover the return shipping and send a free replacement or a full refund, with no restocking fee.
If a parcel is lost, we replace it free or refund it in full. An order not delivered within 90 days of dispatch is refunded automatically.
Every piece carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the day it is delivered.
Standard catalogue pieces, including pieces made after you order, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee and return shipping apply.
Choosing a finish, size, dimming option, colour temperature, cable length or plug does not affect your right to return. Bespoke commissions (a non-catalogue size, a structural change or a specially commissioned material, agreed before payment) and items marked final sale cannot be returned for change of mind.
Cancelling
Free within 48 hours of ordering. After that, a charge of up to 20% may apply for materials and work already committed to your piece.
EU and UK customers
Your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies, with no restocking fee.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Yes, both ways, at no extra cost. The drop can be shortened for a lower ceiling, or extended in 50 cm (20 in) sections for a higher one, and we set the finished height to your room. For double-height rooms and stairwells, drops beyond 3 m (10 ft) are quoted with a drawing for you to approve before production. Yes. Size, proportions and metal finish can be adapted on most models, and we send you a drawing to approve before production. Changes to wiring, dimming or colour temperature keep the piece returnable; changes to its outer form are made for you alone and cannot be returned. Yes, at no extra cost. The standard version is not dimmable; write #dim in the note at checkout and we fit a dimmable driver. Tell us the dimmer or smart-home system you use and we match the driver to it. The light is 2700K Warm White as standard; a warmer or cooler colour temperature can be made on request, also at no extra cost.
