The Aurelia is a broad, hemispherical dome pendant in hand-finished stainless steel, hung on a stainless steel chain. It comes in five diameters: 30 cm (11.8″), 35 cm (13.8″), 40 cm (15.7″), 45 cm (17.7″) and 50 cm (19.7″), and in three finishes: matte black, bronze and antique gold. It hangs from a 50 cm (19.7″) chain. It suits a dining alcove, a kitchen island or an entrance hall, on its own or in a run.
The frame
The dome and chain are stainless steel, finished by hand. Matte black gives a quiet, graphic shape against a pale ceiling. Bronze is warm and dark. Antique gold is the softest and warmest of the three. The chain is heavy enough to read as part of the design rather than a fitting.
Sizing and placement
The 30 and 35 cm (11.8 and 13.8″) sizes suit a run of two or three over a kitchen island, or a single light over a small table. The 40 and 45 cm (15.7 and 17.7″) sizes suit a table for four, about 90 to 120 cm (35 to 47″). The 50 cm (19.7″) size suits a table of about 120 to 150 cm (47 to 59″) or an entrance hall. Over a table or island, hang the rim 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.
Suspension
The pendant hangs from a 50 cm (19.7″) chain. The chain is made longer or shorter to order to suit your ceiling.
The light
The lamp sits inside the dome and shines down, so the Aurelia gives a focused pool of light on the surface below and keeps the ceiling above soft. Over an island it works as task light. In a large room, pair it with softer ambient light elsewhere.
Lamping and installation
E27 lamp; a warm LED filament bulb suits it. Warm white at 2700K. The bulb is not included. The pendant weighs about 8.5 to 15 kg (18.7 to 33.1 lb) depending on diameter. Have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking rather than a standard ceiling box.
Care
Switch off and let the lamp cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth. Do not use metal polish or abrasive cleaners on any of the finishes.

Every Aurelia is made to order. The chain length can be set to your ceiling, and dimming is available on request.

We wire every lamp in our workshop for the country it is delivered to. Voltage, plug and electrical standard are set from your delivery address, so there is nothing to choose at checkout. Pieces shipped to the US are fitted with UL-listed drivers and LED components.
The colour temperature is listed in the specifications. A dimmable version, or a warmer or cooler light, can be made at no extra cost: write it in the note at checkout.
Every piece is assembled, wired and switched on at our workshop bench before it is packed. We check the electrics, the fixings and the finish, and nothing is crated until it passes.
Ask us, and we send you a video of your own lamp, lit and working, before it leaves the workshop. It is free.
An installation manual is packed with every lamp. Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician.
For ceiling lights, a standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb). Check the weight in the specifications: heavier pieces need a fan-rated box or a mounting plate fixed to a joist.
If a piece arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email contact@casalolalights.com with your order number and photos. We cover the return shipping and send a free replacement or a full refund, with no restocking fee.
If a parcel is lost, we replace it free or refund it in full. An order not delivered within 90 days of dispatch is refunded automatically.
Every piece carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the day it is delivered.
Standard catalogue pieces, including pieces made after you order, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee and return shipping apply.
Choosing a finish, size, dimming option, colour temperature, cable length or plug does not affect your right to return. Bespoke commissions (a non-catalogue size, a structural change or a specially commissioned material, agreed before payment) and items marked final sale cannot be returned for change of mind.
Cancelling
Free within 48 hours of ordering. After that, a charge of up to 20% may apply for materials and work already committed to your piece.
EU and UK customers
Your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies, with no restocking fee.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Yes, both ways, at no extra cost. The drop can be shortened for a lower ceiling, or extended in 50 cm (20 in) sections for a higher one, and we set the finished height to your room. For double-height rooms and stairwells, drops beyond 3 m (10 ft) are quoted with a drawing for you to approve before production. Yes. Size, proportions and metal finish can be adapted on most models, and we send you a drawing to approve before production. Changes to wiring, dimming or colour temperature keep the piece returnable; changes to its outer form are made for you alone and cannot be returned. Yes, at no extra cost. The standard version is not dimmable; write #dim in the note at checkout and we fit a dimmable driver. Tell us the dimmer or smart-home system you use and we match the driver to it. The light is 2700K Warm White as standard; a warmer or cooler colour temperature can be made on request, also at no extra cost.
