The Square Alabaster Flush Mount is a square block of Spanish alabaster, carved and hollowed from a single piece of stone and set on a slim solid brass frame flush to the ceiling. It comes in three sizes, all 12 cm (4.7″) high: 35 cm (13.8″), 45 cm (17.7″) and 60 cm (23.6″) square. It suits a foyer, bedroom, closet, dressing room, powder room or hallway, and a large room where a chandelier would be too much for the ceiling height.
The alabaster
Each fixture is hand-carved from one block of Spanish alabaster, hollowed from the inside to house the lamps and refined by hand until the walls are an even thickness. Because it starts as one block, the veining runs continuously around all four sides, and the corners read as carved, with no seams. No two are the same. You can ask for more veining, heavily patterned with strong mineral lines; less, softer and milkier; or leave the choice to us.
The frame
The mounting frame, ceiling plate and hardware carry the full weight of the stone. They come in gold, black or silver; the gold is solid brass.
Why warm light matters
Alabaster glows with the colour of the light inside it. At 2700K the stone turns honey and cream and the veining comes forward; cooler light makes it look grey and chalky. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.
Sizing and placement
The 35 cm (13.8″) suits a closet, dressing room, powder room or bathroom, or a series down a hallway. The 45 cm (17.7″) suits a foyer, a walk-in closet or a main bathroom, and works on ceilings of 2.7 to 3 m (9 to 10 ft). The 60 cm (23.6″) suits a great room, a large main bedroom or an open-plan space with ceilings of 2.4 to 2.7 m (8 to 9 ft), where a chandelier would feel too heavy.
Mounting
The frame fixes flush to the ceiling. The 60 cm version weighs about 20 kg (44 lb) and needs reinforced ceiling blocking; your electrician should confirm the fixing.
The light
The lamps sit inside the hollowed stone, so the whole block glows and spreads a soft ambient light into the room. As a guide, the 35 cm lights a room of about 5 m² (50 sq ft), the 45 cm about 9 m² (100 sq ft) and the 60 cm about 14 to 18 m² (150 to 200 sq ft). In a kitchen or at a desk, add task lighting alongside it.
Lamping and installation
Two lamps in the 35 cm, three in the 45 cm and four in the 60 cm. Warm white LED at 2700K; LED lamps keep the heat inside the stone low. Bulbs are not included. The 35 cm weighs about 6 kg (13.2 lb), the 45 cm about 10 kg (22 lb) and the 60 cm about 20 kg (44 lb). The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking.
Care
Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust the alabaster with a soft dry cloth only. Never use water or cleaners on the stone. Wipe the metal with a soft dry cloth, with no polish.

We wire every lamp in our workshop for the country it is delivered to. Voltage, plug and electrical standard are set from your delivery address, so there is nothing to choose at checkout. Pieces shipped to the US are fitted with UL-listed drivers and LED components.
The colour temperature is listed in the specifications. A dimmable version, or a warmer or cooler light, can be made at no extra cost: write it in the note at checkout.
Every piece is assembled, wired and switched on at our workshop bench before it is packed. We check the electrics, the fixings and the finish, and nothing is crated until it passes.
Ask us, and we send you a video of your own lamp, lit and working, before it leaves the workshop. It is free.
An installation manual is packed with every lamp. Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a licensed electrician.
For ceiling lights, a standard ceiling box carries about 23 kg (50 lb). Check the weight in the specifications: heavier pieces need a fan-rated box or a mounting plate fixed to a joist.
If a piece arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email contact@casalolalights.com with your order number and photos. We cover the return shipping and send a free replacement or a full refund, with no restocking fee.
If a parcel is lost, we replace it free or refund it in full. An order not delivered within 90 days of dispatch is refunded automatically.
Every piece carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, from the day it is delivered.
Standard catalogue pieces, including pieces made after you order, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. A 20% restocking fee and return shipping apply.
Choosing a finish, size, dimming option, colour temperature, cable length or plug does not affect your right to return. Bespoke commissions (a non-catalogue size, a structural change or a specially commissioned material, agreed before payment) and items marked final sale cannot be returned for change of mind.
Cancelling
Free within 48 hours of ordering. After that, a charge of up to 20% may apply for materials and work already committed to your piece.
EU and UK customers
Your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies, with no restocking fee.

Yes. This alabaster flush mount can be made in an IP65 version, sealed against dust and water jets, for bathrooms, including the area above a bath or shower, and for covered outdoor spaces such as a porch or loggia. Ask for the IP65 version in the note at checkout, or email us before ordering, and we confirm it before production begins. The form, size and finish will match. The stone will not be identical, because every piece of alabaster has its own veining and clouding. If you prefer a calmer or a richer stone, say so in the note at checkout and we select it for you. Before your lamp ships we film it lit, so you see your own stone before it leaves the workshop. On arrival, unpack and test-light it before installation, and send photos of any transit damage before it is fitted.
Yes. Size, proportions and metal finish can be adapted on most models, and we send you a drawing to approve before production. Changes to wiring, dimming or colour temperature keep the piece returnable; changes to its outer form are made for you alone and cannot be returned. Yes, at no extra cost. The standard version is not dimmable; write #dim in the note at checkout and we fit a dimmable driver. Tell us the dimmer or smart-home system you use and we match the driver to it. The light is 2700K Warm White as standard; a warmer or cooler colour temperature can be made on request, also at no extra cost. Through alabaster, warm white gives the softest glow.
