Alabaster, held inside a brass cage.

Solid brass framework wraps the fixture top and bottom: a raised brass crown along the upper edge, a matching brass rail along the lower edge, and vertical brass connectors joining them at the corners — a complete brass architectural cage with alabaster panels captured inside. Brass studs along the upper rail hold each alabaster panel in position, deliberately exposed as construction language.

The design reads less like a chandelier and more like a jeweler's display case scaled to ceiling height — stone presented inside a brass frame, the way a precious object would be held inside a vitrine. Off, the brass structure dominates and the alabaster reads as material. On, the alabaster glows from within and the brass becomes the architectural outline around the warm light.

Scrigno sits in a specific register — the jewelry-box architectural alabaster linear. For dining rooms and kitchens where the buyer wants serious metalwork presence alongside the alabaster, rather than alabaster as the dominant material with brass as a quiet accent.

Where it belongs:

• Over a 6–8 seat dining table in a contemporary or transitional dining room with 10–12 ft ceilings.
• Above a 7–8 ft kitchen island in a kitchen with serious metalwork — brass faucets, brass cabinet hardware, brass range hood. The brass cage of Scrigno reads as the lighting equivalent of the kitchen hardware below.
• In a formal dining room where the architectural brass framework matches the room's metal moldings, picture rails, or trim work.
• In hospitality dining — restaurant counter, hotel breakfast room, private club — where the architectural cage construction reads as commissioned rather than catalog.
• As a serious dining anchor in homes with traditional-meets-contemporary palettes (marble, walnut, brass, warm whites).

About the alabaster.

Panels are hand-cut from solid Italian alabaster — vertical slabs, individually shaped and mounted between the upper and lower brass rails. The panels within a single Scrigno are not matched: heavier veining beside softer translucency, deliberately. Matched stone reads as factory output; varied stone reads as real material, hand-selected.

Choose the veining at checkout:

• More veining — heavily patterned, dramatic mineral lines
• Less veining — softer, cloudier, more uniformly translucent
• Random selection — we choose from stock

When lit, the brass cage geometry creates layered shadow above and below the alabaster glow — the top rail catches uplight, the bottom rail frames the downward wash, and the alabaster glows softly in between. The result is more architecturally defined than a single-frame linear chandelier.

About the brass.

The complete cage structure — top rail, bottom rail, vertical corner connectors, chains, and all hardware — is solid brass with brushed gold finish. Solid because the cage construction is the visible architectural feature of the fixture; plated brass would reveal itself unevenly at the multiple joints and corners within years.

Brass studs along the top rail are functional hardware (they hold each alabaster panel in position) deliberately left visible as design language.

The light.

10 × G9 sockets, max 40W per socket. Total load 400W — comfortably within standard 600W dimmer capacity.

LED G9 strongly recommended. Lower heat protects the alabaster long-term; LED at 4–6W actual draw per socket eliminates dimmer load concerns and accommodates any standard dimmer.

Dimmable on TRIAC 120V AC — Lutron Caseta, US residential dimmers, most home automation.

Custom IP65 wet-rated version available.

Standard ships dry-rated for indoor use. For wet-zone applications — covered outdoor dining, pool houses, primary bathrooms — Scrigno is available with IP65 specification. Add $650 at checkout. Lead time extends 3–4 weeks.

Solid brass chain, 70cm / 27.5" standard length, fully customizable at order. Specify your ceiling height and we ship to your requirement. Extended chains for double-height foyers and converted lofts available at no additional charge.
