Four hand-formed ceramic shells, each drawn to its own curve and offset around a slim brass stem, so this sculptural chandelier resolves differently depending on where you stand. At 75 cm across it holds a long dining table or a wide entrance hall without crowding the ceiling — generous in silhouette, yet visually light, because there is nothing solid at its centre.

The ceramic is formed and finished by hand in a matte surface, so it diffuses light rather than bouncing it. Lit, the glow settles low and warm across the table instead of glaring off a glazed shell. Unlit, it reads as sculpture. Every shell varies slightly in sweep and thickness, and that variation is precisely what separates a hand-formed piece from a moulded one.

Where it works

• Above a dining table seating eight to twelve, hung 75–85 cm above the surface.
• Over a kitchen island of two metres or more, where the offset shells break up a long run of stone.
• In an entrance hall or on a stair landing with ceilings from 2.7 metres, where it is seen from below and from the side.
• In a double-height room, using rod sections to bring it down to eye level.

Made in the colour you choose

Nothing about this chandelier is fixed. It is made to order in any of six matte ceramic tones — Alabastro, Sabbia, Terracotta, Oliva, Notte and Carbone — with six metal finishes for the stem, canopy and fittings, and a rigid rod that extends to three metres in 50 cm sections. Dimming is fitted free of charge. There is no bespoke surcharge on tone or finish.

Ordering

Production runs three to four weeks, with a further two to three weeks in transit — about five to seven weeks in total. You approve a technical drawing before anything is made, and the atelier builds to that drawing.

Shipping is free to the US and delivered duty paid, crated and fully insured. Standard pieces can be returned free of charge; a piece whose proportions have been changed for you cannot, which is why the drawing is approved first.
