Hundreds of hand-cut K9 crystal rods, hung in concentric tiers from a solid brass frame. The rods refract the light from the bulbs above into a thousand smaller points of light below — the optical effect that makes a real cut-crystal chandelier read as architecture rather than as decoration. From across a room, the Decò Round looks like a sculptural cylinder of glass. From directly below, it reads as a constellation of refracted light against the ceiling.

About the crystal.

The Decò Round is built from hand-cut K9 crystal rods — a high-clarity optical glass with a refractive index close to true lead crystal, and the material of choice for premium contemporary chandeliers across Europe and Asia. Each rod is cut by hand, faceted along its length, and hung individually from the brass frame. The labor is what separates a real cut-crystal chandelier from a pressed-glass version: hundreds of individually hung pieces, each catching light at its own angle.

When lit, the cumulative effect is what makes crystal chandeliers fundamentally different from any other lighting type — light passes through the rods, refracts off the facets, and emerges below as a soft scatter of brighter points against the ambient glow. Dim the bulbs, and the scatter softens into atmosphere. Bring them up, and the room comes alive.

About the brass.

The frame is solid brass, not plated. We don't plate brass on chandeliers at this scale because plating wears unevenly under the weight of crystal load and reveals itself within a few years. Solid brass ages instead of failing — over time, the polished finish develops a richer warmth that complements the cool brilliance of the crystal.

Unlacquered by default. The brass will patina gently across years of use; the rate of change depends on the room's humidity and how often the fixture is cleaned.

Customization.

• Frame finish — solid brass (default), antique brass, brushed brass, polished nickel, chrome, or matte black on commission. Specify at inquiry. Non-default finishes add 4–6 weeks to lead time.
• Drop length — comes standard with a 50cm rod plus a 20cm and 30cm extension set, so the buyer can configure total drop from 50cm to 100cm at installation. Custom rod lengths beyond this range available on request.

Configurable drop, no installation surprises.

Most large chandeliers ship with a fixed rod, which means the buyer commits to a specific ceiling height before they order. The Decò Round ships with three rod sections — 50cm primary plus 20cm and 30cm extensions — giving you four possible drops without an installer compromise. Your electrician chooses the right combination for your ceiling on install day, not the order form.
